Fight Acidity With Winter Salad

Winter season is the reason to be happy. With all the festivities and wedding season, people often tend to forget to eat salads. This salad is a good way of balancing your diet and fighting acidity induced by oily food. In small serving it can work as an appetizer or side dish or it can serve the purpose of a hearty main dish if the portion is big.

Ingredients:

4 leaves of spinach, chopped

4 leaves of lettuce, chopped

1 pear, diced

Handful chopped cabbage

Handful of orange, red and green capsicum; chopped

1 carrot, grated

5 cherry tomatoes, halved

4 walnuts diced

Dressing:

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon of honey

A dash of good, organic vinegar

1 teaspoon of mustard

1 clove of minced garlic

Salt as per your taste

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl. Whisk the dressing components well. Pour over the salad and toss gently. Your winter salad is ready!
