Chicken keema is a mouth-watering and ultimate dish for chicken lovers. It can be easily cooked in 45 minutes and is available throughout the country. The dish can be relished with naan or rice. It can be easily prepared at home and served to the guests as well.
4 medium sized chopped onions
3 black cardamom
2 bay leaves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1/2 kg minced chicken
1/2 cup boiled green peas
1/4 cup cream
1/3 cup homemade tomato puree
1 tsp coriander powder and garam masala powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Clean and wash the chicken mince. Take a pan and heat the oil. Now, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and black cloves.
Sauté on low flame for a minute. After a minute add minced ginger, garlic, and chopped onion.
Sauté until onion becomes transparent and then add tomato puree to the pan. Stir in all the spices one at a time.
Stir it continuously and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Add butter and minced chicken. Once keema is added to the masala it will release some liquid.
Place the lid over the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame. Check if the mince is cooked. Then, add cream to keema and mix it well.
Keep sautéing for 5 more minutes and you can notice the oil on the sides.
Now add boiled peas and sauté for another 3-4 minutes. Take it off the flame and serve with warm naans, kulchas or rotis.
